Scruffy caddy’s , innocent looking, rat look, Not smart looking

Post by James77 »

Is this a thing? When I was a kid I read a custom car magazine and one of the guys had a van that he got painted, sign writing done then they washed it with salt water to make it look aged, does anyone here aim for the real sleeper look especially with a hot motor?

Ahh maybe, but rat look from my memories usually hammed it up to much, maybe scruffy was a bad term. But anything similar in outlook would be interesting.
I quite like the idea of a ups liveried one, but half of that is I like brown vehicles.

Ups? Worked for them years ago, fired for scraping the brown paint off one of the trucks while moving it, ironically

I’ve just remembered something. I had a bad time years ago with British Gas customer services. I now call them Shitish Gas. You could buy a ex Gas van from the auctions and change a few letters.
Possibly make the van look like it’s falling apart too.

Or maybe not.

I kind of like that idea but I’m sure all the branding is removed before sale, but British Gas would be a no for me, there was a project on here that had all the branding on which the guy removed and the paint had faded, that also quite interests me if, but the one I saw had horrible writing, he polished it out and it looks great.
