Anyone know about the interior piece I'm talking about?
Hello all,
I'm in the process of sorting the back of my 2009 SWB Sportline (Carpeted panels and b-pillar trims, spot lights in the roof etc). I've just bought a genuine VW rubber mat for the back (good for keeping any spills or mud in between the floor ribs, making cleaning up easier).
I prefer the dark grey plastic of the later vans, so already have a side door step trim and rear trim in dark grey. This van has a single sliding door, and the mat leaves a section of the floor exposed opposite the sliding door, in front of the driver's wheel arch. There are a couple of holes there, for a couple of plastic lugs. I'm pretty sure I've seen a plastic tray here on another Caddy, but haven't found one during any of my internet searches (thinking of the right search words is the problem I think).
If anyone knows what I'm talking about and can set me off on the road towards finding a part number that would be great.
Many thanks,
Phil

Fantastic tip about the website, thanks very much. I've just had a quick skim through and it's an extremely useful resource.
The tray I'm talking about is small (maybe 12 inches or so long), and "tray" may not be the best way to describe it. I seem to remember it being a Maxi I saw it in. I shall have a good look through the website diagrams, and go from there.
Once I do find this thing I shall post a pic and part number.

Beaker2135 - Excellent, that's exactly what I meant!
I could only remember seeing a small, shallow storage tray in this area. It's nice to see there is a small tray incorporated into the trim so my memory isn't completely useless.
Thanks for the input everyone.

I bought the rubber mat 2K0863717V79 and wanted to fill the small gap left behind the bulkhead on the driver side, I bought part #2 (2K0853370J) and it is not correct part, it wont fit. The part needed is #3 2K0853372E.

Hello again,
I thought it would be a good idea to update this thread, so hopefully nobody who reads this has the faff I've just had without prior warning.
FishermansFriend is indeed correct - this trim is not a direct fit to a Caddy.........
Please see the images below (if I've done it correctly) to see what the new trim looks like in comparison to the standard trim that came out. As you can see, there is no cut out for the bed of the van.
The last pic is the trim fitted in my van, after cutting it accordingly. The clips all line up with the holes in the van, so it does fit securely after modification. The wood you can see in the pic is a panel I've made to make this exposed section of floor the same level as the main bed; I'll cover it in rubber to match the mat that will be going in.
It looks better than having a bare section of metal floor, but it was a lot of trial and error to make it work. I would honestly suggest you look for a different option to fill this gap. The part number FishermansFriend refers to looks to be a step trim for a Caddy with twin sliding doors.

Re: Anyone know about the interior piece I'm talking about?
Hi CaddyNoob,
Thanks for the update. I picked up part #3 (2K0853372E) today and plan on fitting it at the weekend. Its the only part in the diagram with the recess that will make it over the load area floor lip.
I couldn't get #2 (2K0853370J) to work, it fell victim to my hacksaw in the end. If I cant get this one to work I am going to use the space for the Tool Kit and carpet a piece of plywood for a cover.
I'll let you know how I get on.

Thanks very much for sorting the pics out.
Yep, let us know how you get on with the step trim. I spent the whole afternoon today playing with my trim, and while I am happy with how I managed to get this particular trim to fit, it would be nice to see if a step trim works better.
I paid around £25 for this trim (from TPS) if I remember rightly, so not a huge expense if there's a better option.

I installed part #3 (2K0853372E) today, fits like a glove. Only slight modification needed at the wheel arch end. It might not need modifying at all, depends how you have the load area kitted out. Its a step to nowhere but glad I've got rid of that unfinished looking space. I just need to put in a sliding door on that side now to make it complete

Are those plastic trims over the wheel arches from VW or are they aftermarket?
