Just had the MOT done and got a list as long as my arm for advisories. Struggling to work out exactly the parts I need so would appreciate some help working out what they are if possible? Part numbers would be amazing. Tried to search them on ebay but a lot of different parts come up.

MOT states:
Nearside Front Inner Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement (1K0407151AA? Sheet Metal)
Offside Front Inner Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement (1K0407152AA? Sheet Metal)
Central Rear Lower Gearbox mounting defective (1K0199855AD?)
Nearside Front Track rod end ball joint has slight play (1K0423811A? (amongst 400 other codes for the same part?))
Nearside Front Outer Drive shaft joint worn, but not excessively (1K0407451LX?)

Van is a 2005 2.0SDi

Also says:
Rear Brakes imbalanced requirements only just met. It would appear that the braking system requires adjustment or repair. - any idea what this means exactly? Seems vague.

Can anyone help please?

A quick look underneath will let you know if they are steel (formed in a press, U channel shaped) or cast steel. If you’re unsure post up a pic.

It should give you the part numbers and then allow to search the likes of ECP or carparts4less.co.uk or if you don’t mind waiting 5-10 days then AUTODOC.co.uk (German site)

You’ll need to order replacement bolts for both the front suspension arms as these will most likely by worn as well as the bush.

I ordered new wishbones c/w rubber mounts, ball joints, stretch bolts for the rear wishbone mount and a new one for the front wishbone mounts as my wishbones and front struts were badly corroded (2010 TDI)

And they might be rusted solid, especially the bolts holding the front rear wishbone mounts to the sub frame, steel bolts through alloy, not the best combination! Lots of penetrating fluid (not WD40), bit of soak time and an impact wrench could be required to get these off! If removing with a spanner and the bolts are getting really tight, stop! I snapped my bolts and had to salvage a replacement carrier from the breakers.

Your van is 15 years old so a few advisories are not entirely surprising. However they would not issue a new MOT on your vehicle if they consider anything they list posed an immediate risk.

Read each advisory carefully and if possible see how they compare with past MOTs - some garages seem more keen to list advisories than others. I had a Sierra which had an underbody corrosion advisory listed for at least 10 MOTs but never failed. Fords seem to come with rust as standard.

I would be most concerned by the brake imbalance - yes it is just within limits - but inherently I would fix that before the others.

As for the suspension stuff can we assume the ride height is standard?

100% agree, it's the first MOT I've had whilst owning this van and I'm a stickler for getting anything sorted that needs doing. There's been a clicking noise from the front left whilst turning tight for a while now so I was waiting for the MOT to essentially diagnose it for me. Seems half the front suspensions needs re-doing so I'm going to order everything and crack on with it next week.
Any idea how to adjust the brake imbalance or is that a garage jobbie?
Ride height is standard, the whole van is other than inside the load area.

Chock front wheels, engage a gear and raise the rear onto axle stands, remove wheels and check the brakes on each side for similar wear. A favourite cause of issues is the handbrake dragging slightly on one side. Make sure both rear wheels turn freely with the handbrake released. A seized handbrake mechanism can sometimes be freed with brute force but will eventually return and would really need new calipers on both rear wheels to fix long term.

Otherwise inspect brake discs and pads for any signs of contamination (leaking brake fluid) or deep scores in pad/disk - trapped stones can quickly cause damage. If the van is high mileage check disc thickness is still within spec. I guess it is possible the imbalance is a sign of problem with the hydraulics which are split diagonally from the master. If pads or disks need replacing do both sides.
