Slight update for mine, good as a place as any until I finally get round to doing a build thread,
My banging was actually the shock on the drivers side, the top bolt had come out and it was banging against the chassis.
Put a new bolt in and the banging and bouncing has disappeared.

I also have an admission that it seems I do actually have another hole on the back so I can drop it a bit more with modifying the plates, I will do that tomorrow when I fit the new head unit.

I've also measured up and found the perfect air bags to make an air lift kit so I can get up farmer's lanes and over speed humps, the helper spring kits commercially sold are for standard suspension and unsuitable for a lowered van.

Does anyone know if the caddy 2k stance+ kits fit mk4 vans?
Only their website it doesn’t list the mk4 2015 onwards.
Cheers

@ D_EDD I have these on my MK 4 mate and they are decent. I’m running 19’s and if I’m honest it’s reasonably comfortable.

Stance + coilovers review?????

Post by D_EDD »

It’s dirty and badly lit, but I was to excited not to get a picture!
I’ll take a better one once clean and not the middle of the night.
Very pleased though Image

Hi all,

I’ve got a stance+ and have had it on some time but now want to go lower. I’ve ordered wobble blocks, centralising plates and I need to cut my bump stops down.
How will I know if I need adjustable/ shorter drop links? Even at current height sometimes I hear a noise from the front end when turning at low speed. Could this be due to tension on the drop links?
Can anyone recommend what I should change the drop links to?

I’ve got a set of stance+ to go on, kinda bought them in haste as I was skint at the time and wanted to lose that arch fisting asap.

6 months later I still haven’t got round to fitting them, so in hindsight should saved up and got ST’s, but anyway...

I’m gonna be in the drop link predicament soon and from prior experience with a low MK5 Golf(presuming the geometry is similar), BMW E61 (300mm long) links work, so I’m gonna try them again.

Adjustable ones are garbage(maybe the expensive ones are better) and the cheap aftermarket shortened ones don’t last long.

I fitted some Starline E61 links from euros and they were spot-on on my Golf; they’re M10 instead of M12 but didn’t seem to affect anything once properly tight.
