If in the the uk, Gendan is the best bet
Don’t buy from eBay, it will most likely be a fake and can cause damage
Cheers pal I had a quick browse on Ross tech vcds and I will have a butchers at Gendan later

Hi guys
Lad at work has vcds. I was going to activate the needle sweep on my van but I've never had any dealings with vcds
Where is the section that activates this function?

So far I've got:

- Coming/Leaving home set to 60 seconds
- Needle sweep
- Lock/Unlock confirmation via horn (just a small beep)
- Rain Closing
- Navigation in MFD
- Seatbelt warning OFF
- Auto-lock turned on
- Comfort opening
- Mirror lowering in reverse gear
- probably a lot more.

I just can't find the Ad-Blue screen. Mate of mine has it but don't know where the option is

Would you mind sharing your adaptions and coding? I’m a bit rusty.

Don’t have audible lock/unlock working.
Coming/leaving home can’t get working.
Mirror lowering isn’t functioning.

Another good one is tear wipe.

I think adblue is in f5 adaption.

Sure!

Audible lock/unlock: 09 Central Electrics - Byte 05 = 2F (Unlock confirmation is Not Active)

Coming/leaving home: 09 Central Electrics:
-Byte 12 = 91
-Byte 17 = E9

Mirror lowering:
09 Central Electrics:
-Byte 04 - Mirror lowering with reverse gear = Active
-Byte 08 - Synchronized Mirror Adjustment = Active
42 Driver Door & 52 Passenger Door - Coding = 0132144

You have to let the car learn the position of the mirror before it'll actually work. Also make sure it's enabled on you MFA settings.
This is how I got it to work:

1. Turn on ignition, but don't start the engine.
2. Select reverse gear.
3. Select passenger side mirror on mirror control knob.
4. Adjust passenger side mirror so you can see the kerb.
5. Take car out of reverse gear and return to neutral, or Park in automatic gearbox.
6. Turn off the ignition and the passenger side mirror will (hopefully) return to the normal 'O' position.

To use the dip function, the mirror control knob must be kept to the passenger side position.

I've seen some cars (Golf's and Polo's) require you to drive over 20km/h for it to switch back to it's normal position.

Is there a option for auto locking at a certain speed and unlock all doors when the key is removed?

Sorry I can't view all the forum as I'm a new member

Yes. You need VCDS (or similar) to enable it. Can't remember the exact text, but it's one of the BCM settings.

BTW, you have enough posts to view the rest of the forum, read the post in the "New Members" section for instructions.

In 09 Central Electrics - Long Coding - Byte 00:
Auto Unlock (when removing ignition key) = Active
Auto lock (above 15km/h) = Active

Thanks guys
Activated the auto locking function which now works
Although when I slow down in traffic and speed up again it tries to lock itself again

Sounds like it's not working correctly, as though one or more doors aren't locking.
