Lateral thought - look for a repair shop.
I'm in Edinburgh, but know a reconditioning place in Bellshill, near Glasgow.
Old time, heaps of alternators and starters on (almost) every surface, but they know all there is to know.
If they don't have one handy, they'll recondition your old one in a couple of days.
And costs so much less than new - but as good as.
Best, RockDinosaur.

I would but being off the road is a no go at the moment and a new recon Bosch is like £100
My one probably won’t be Dave able as have had to break the plast away for the exciter cable as the pin broke so to get going have clamped onto it as a temporary bodge I’ll have to have a good clean up and see it the stickers still on it
Annoying as I had all the bits and codes and so on but can’t find any of it now
Thanks
