Hi all
Anyone try or have installed VW Golf 7 R steering on VW Caddy 2K?
Is it possible to work all 100%? This Caddy have Golf 5 full FIS cluster.
I appreciate any feedback or help possible

Hi,
Yes it can and has been done, lots of forum members have this.
Your mk5 full FIS will make no difference, it is the same as Caddy/Touran in so far as steering wheel control requirements.

There are many sources for mk7 steering wheels. New from VW and even some online auction sites. Used, again the online auction sites are a good source or you could look at breakers yards local to you or even online.

Thanks Doc,
Your alternatives are given though.
I was thinking more of webshops etc.
Cheers.

I tend to stay clear of websites selling genuine VW parts as they'll be buying the parts from VW who you can go direct to yourself and cut out the middle man.

Also interested in doing this, is it only the MK7 and up that it works with you can you go to earlier cars?

Hi all sorry to jump in I’m looking to do this on my Mk 4 caddy start line using the polo mfsw . After reading some posts / threads on the forum am I right saying this swap is more straightforward. I’m guessing reading them most of the swaps have been retro fitted to mk3 etc with bit higher spec than mine. I found 1 for my 4 but it was higher spec than mine . I couldn’t find one for my spec van . My question is will I still need module new stalks etc to do this? Which would I need if had to do it .I just don’t want to get stung online buying wrong part etc . I unfortunately don’t have VCDs to pull out info of what’s there. I like doing things myself if and if it is straight forward enough to change over I would change the bits and pay someone to code it all in. any help would be greatly appreciated
