170k gearbox/clutch issue

Hi. I have a 2010 1.9tdi life. Can anyone give their thoughts on what’s wrong.

I’ve had this Caddy since 2012 and added 160,000 miles. Had the clutch hydraulics changed at around 85k.

It mostly crunches going into reverse, sometimes into 1st and sometimes doesn’t engage 3rd very well. All gears feel notchy and stiff.

I adjusted the selector linkages, which improved things, but not much.

Not sign of slipping from the clutch.

VW have a backlog so can’t see it for 4 weeks, but did quote me over 2k if is the clutch with dual mass flywheel and dozens on new bolts, but they haven’t looked at it yet.

Any thoughts?

Did you manage to fix it? I have the same issue with mine now, its getting progressively worse.
