2nd quote for £800. Apparently it’s right at the back of the engine so it’s a full day’s work..
DPF light came on today so took her for a bit of a blast out the back roads and she was absolutely fine, again.

It's not a full day's work. It's a couple of hours in the morning I think book time is 4.5 hours. if you have a 5 speed there even easier!
I would recommend getting a genuine EGR when you get it done. I have replace a few from aftermarket suppliers and had loads of them back so don't bother anymore. At least with a genuine item you get VW parts warranty so if anything with it goes wrong they will replace at the dealer for you I think you get 2 years can't remember
