That black thing on the door where the window is

Hello people.
It’s that Black ally piece of trim that rises up the door where the window meets the door shut. I had a little accident with a skip so I need to buy a new one but I don’t know what it’s called...

I had a quick internet search and what I would call it -Exterior B-pillar trim - doesn’t bring up many results! Is yours a Maxi? What year is it? I’ll look up on parts catalogue and see what I find.

Left side is 2K5 837 889 A 3FZ
Right side is 2K5 837 890 A 3FZ

They should be about £30 each from VW so don't get ripped off on ebay! I believe they are all the same part number for all 2K Caddys but as always, please double check with your parts dept using your chassis number before ordering.

Hi Dan thanks for the reply, it looks like part 16 on that drawing. Yes I’ve got a maxi 61 plate and it’s the drivers door. I’d just drive the van down to the local dealer but it’s away at the moment and won’t be back for a couple of weeks..

I would definitely give the dealer a call with your reg number and order through them as I’ve seen some on eBay for £45!
