I’ve just taken the carpet up In my front room to put laminate down - the carpet underlay is in good condition and is good quality can this be used anywhere in my van?

I wouldn’t advise on using house underlay. I reckon in a van it would collect moisture and cause you issues down the line. Remember a house or most are central heated and ventilated where a van isn’t.

I personally don’t think it’s a good idea. Maybe others will disagree.

You’re better off using recycled bottle lost insulation in the gaps mate. Doesn’t hold moisture or rot. It’s cheap too!
As for the floor and general soundproofing, www.deadening.co.uk have a decent range.
