Dog Van

Post by Mccormack96 »

Hi everyone,

Don’t suppose anyone uses there van as a dog van?

I’m planning to carpet, sound deaden and insulate the back and hopefully get some built in cages to go in!

Love to see your doggy vans! :)

Mine has children in, does that count?

(Although I should probably say they aren't left in cages...... )

Haha love this topic! I’ve recently bought caddy just for the dog, we should start posting pics of dogs in the back! 🤣

Thanks 😊 he’s a good lad to be fair, we had Huskies for the last 20 years then got the the GSD - it’s nice to have a normal dog after all these years that actually does as he’s told rather than running off :lol: :lol: :lol:

I have my black lab in the back overnight. Cage comes out though as I use the van for work mainly.
I have a roof vent and when travelling this gives a proper draught, at night its abit cooler anyway and front windows are cracked.
I've also lagged the back to best of my ability, ply lined and carpeted.
He seems to love it, jumps straight in when the cage door opens.

That’s awesome! I was looking at the roof vents. I seen some that look really slick and wouldn’t notice on there!

@mccormack96

We’ve got 2 old tyme bulldogs which is main reason for changing from car to van. They are just in a big crate in the back our our maxi for now but have been looking at the transk9 crates to get for them.

I was given a price locally for ‘built in’ crates which was £1000 + VAT which seemed insane when I looked at ones he’d done previous.

Yes mate, the vent i got off ebay to replace the one that it came with is half the height, sits under the roof rack most importantly for sheet materials and my roof tent
