Hello guys

I have a VW caddy mk4 2017 . my current coilers are blown (Stance) and looking into buying a new set (ST Suspension) from dark side developments.


question what strut size should I buy them in 50 mm or 55 mm

Best off measuring your strut diameter first. How I did it was get some stuff card, cut a 50mm gap in it, and see if it’ll fit over.

Is this not also to do with whether your hubs are bolt on not?

I think non bolt on are 50mm and bolt on are 55mm aren’t they?

I'm pretty sure Caddy 4 never had a 50mm hubs. On the other hand, Stance+ kit is using 50mm struts + adapter sleeves to fit into 55mm hubs.
Have a look, should be pretty obvious what you have.

Thanks guys

The garage who informed me the shock were blown said they are 55mm .

I managed to get 18 months out of the stance driving on country roads daily .

this time I am going for the ST Suspension ST X . I did nearly go for bilstiens . However, the most they can drop is 50mm.
