Paint code help

Can someone share some light on a paint code for me please…

I have a deep black Pearl LC9X but looking at replacing my rear doors for ones that don’t have wiper hole (and yes I know I could just buy a bung before people say lol)

I have sourced a set on eBay, asked for code & was sent LC9Y

Upon have quick google search it’s come back as VW beetle black, is this a caddy colour as well?

@Benny88. If you have identified the code correctly that's all you need. It is irrelevant that it's been attached to a vehicle in a advert.

Was it vw that sent you the code from your vin number? In which case its the best option you've got.
If its an ebay seller sending you the code then I would check with vw.
I would put a bung in it

Have you considered smoothing the hole? Each to there own of course but swapping doors seems a lot of effort in comparison

I have eMate I just like to keep everything an genuine & factory as possible ( some might call me anal for that, but it’s just me & my level of detail I like)

I k ow I’d never be happy knowing it’s been painted etc unless I REALLY have to go down that route.

There is a factory sticker located near the fusebox under the steering wheel. The sticker shows all options including the factory color code.
