retrofit cruise control

Post by Mike Retallick »

Hi there guys. I am new to this forum. My name is Mike....and I am from Swansea. I have recently bought a 2013 Mk3 Caddy maxi 1.6 (102) tdi auto model. I would like to fit cruise control is this easy? is it something I can do myself?

Hi Mike!

Welcome to the forum.

Retrofitting CC is fairly straight forward. There is a good how to in the technical section that shows you how. You'll need to get your post count up and then request access to the tech section.

Good way to get your post count up is to start a build thread for your van and get some as is pictures posted up...

Fitted to ours, followed the how to guide to get the right stalks. Just needed coding and all worked first time

Need VCDS or similar. I used it as an excuse to purchase it, used it for much more since.
There may be someone local with it to help you out.

Most modules from 2010 onwards support cruise control even if the stalk is not there from factory.
Buying new parts, it can get expensive, I think £120 for stalks plus fitting and coding.
The stalks can be picked up used for £30 or often less.
