radio replacement

Post by Mike Retallick »

Changed the radio in my Caddy today, hardest job was getting the facia surround off Got a nice sat nav. I can keep maps updated for free. would have added a photo but don't seem to be able to (poor IT skills)

I am also interested to hear what unit you used. I am currently looking to replace mine with an aftermarket double din touch screen, features I would like it to have is -

AM / FM / DAB.
Spotify.
Screen mirror (Films when stationary), Waze / Goggle maps for sat nav.

Also how would I go about making sure I'm buying the correct wiring loom and facia?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I’ve seen a few of the Android units being mentioned - does anyone have any first hand experience?

I’ll be looking to update mine too.

Hello guys, I can 100% recomend RCD330 (aliexpres, ebay..) I have backup camera, also rear sensors appearing on screen. I have support of carplay and android auto, so navigation from waze or google maps works perfectly. Best investment into my Caddy.

Hi PaddyMcCaddy

sorry I haven't got back to you before am only just catching up after hols. I went for an android unit I found on flea bay, it was a direct replacement so didn't need a new facia or anything. still got to fit reversing camera that was included. had to upgrade maps but it was running IGO so able to do this at no extra cost
