Hi all
I’m adding Golf R seats to a MK4 Caddy. I’m using the seat belt buckles from the golf R. Does anyone know if an electrician can just wire them in?
Cheers!

Yes, it's just a simple switch, that what it is.

Hiya mate, thanks for the reply.
I’m completely new to the Caddy scene so please forgive me lol… the connector plugs on the Golf R seat buckles are different to those on the caddy seats.
My electrician is on holiday, but is it as simple as him just wiring it all up, or is there a specific connector / part I need to get please?
Cheers bud

Connectors are different. But you can re-use your Caddy seat connectors or buy a new ones.

Re: Golf R Seat Conversion
What sort of connectors are you all using for seat swaps? Is there specific vehicle plugs/sockets or just any old (amp rated) plugs
Thanks
Thanks

What did you pay for the Golf R seats out of interest? Looking at this for me too.

Re: Golf R Seat Conversion
Thanks for the info Giddy. My mechanic says the wiring connector plug on the Golf R seat belt stalk is different, it won’t plug into the wiring connector at the other end in the floor of the Caddy. Is there an adapter or something maybe?
I did suggest to my mechanic that he used the original caddy stalks, it he said they were really tall compared to the seats and looked stupid.
Also for those interested I paid £500 for the Golf R seats. No damage, airbags intact and including the seat belt stalks. I’d looked at a few on eBay and most seemed to be missing the seat belt stalks.
