4x4 Caddy was a factory option, so if you could get all necessary parts second hand, that would be a cheapest option. Or maybe consider upgrading to 4x4 Caddy, if they available in your country.

You need a few more arms, legs, spleens, corneas and various other valuable body parts.

They go quite cheap for a while car considering....

No, only caddy parts would fit as the axle is solid whereas golf etc are multi link.
