Can a 4x2 caddy be turned into 4x4

Hi to all i was wondering if it was a waste of time and money i m not a connoisseur at all and was wondering if it was feasable without costing a arm or a leg or both.I m just playing with the idea or crossing Africa one day with my caddy.............dreams ,dreams ,dreams

4x4 Caddy was a factory option, so if you could get all necessary parts second hand, that would be a cheapest option. Or maybe consider upgrading to 4x4 Caddy, if they available in your country.

You need a few more arms, legs, spleens, corneas and various other valuable body parts.

Wouldnt mk5 golf 4motion running gear fit?

They go quite cheap for a while car considering....

Or even look for a light damaged a3 quattro

No, only caddy parts would fit as the axle is solid whereas golf etc are multi link.
