Hi All,
I've got the rear bench seats from the Caddy Maxi Life, seats gone in fine......
but a bit stuck as to how to fit the top seat belt mount, Do I drill a new hole or try to use excisting mount holes...if so how do it get a nut on round the back of it
HELP NEEDED ASAP PLEASE!!!!!......

I'd be puttin something more substantial than a nut on the back! I think you can get up the pillar by removing the side lining. I'd be using a piece of 8-10mm thick and 150-200mm long steel bar drilled and tapped to suit, coz god forbid it the belt even does need to do it's job a wee nut isn't gonna hold back 'the force of a stampeding elephant'!

Remember that seat belt mountings have to be designed to take something like a 20G dceleration, so you need to have something properly designed to spread the load.plasterman.. wrote:Hi All,

I would suggest you contact someone who specialises in providing additional seats in vans and see if you can get them to fit the seat belts or see if they have a kit you can buy.
You might find that when t comes to registration of the vehicle, you will be required to provide some sort of evidence to show that what you have provided is satisfactory.
By the way, the same goes for seat mountings unless you use manufacturer provided mounting points.

Does anyone have the height from the bottom mounting to the top mounting in the caddy? When i did my T5 i got the information from the Reimo website
