Famous 1.6tdi injector

The curse of the injector has hit my caddy
Can anyone recommend best places to get one? Is it a case of get genuine part and pay the extra or are the cheaper aftermarket ones fine to use?

There isn’t that much price difference to be honest between a better quality aftermarket and genuine essentially you would save yourself £90 ish and may gamble on the quality! We had stock issues for aftermarket ones a month or so ago was quite difficult to source one, Don’t forget the stretch bolt that holds the clamp. Hope you get it fixed soon

Ahh okay buddy, I’ve spoke to my mate that got his done few months ago apparent TPS we doing new ones for 310inc vat and giving £40 back when you give them your old injector

No getting my mechanic mate to do it, hes done loads of them before and got the VCDs to plug in and programme it in
