Absolutely brilliant restoration you’ve done there Hef. It’s great to see someone keeping old vehicles on the road.
You’ve done a first class job on it, it looks brand new!

Who needs 4 motion anyway!!

@Alex mc
@Sean1066

Thanks lads, very kind of you! I agree, not many about in original form, in fact i’ve personally not seen one in many years unmolested sadly …

My aim is to have 3 very different Caddy’s to show possibly next year … this one of course

Then another Caddy mk1 that will be have a Porsche Cayenne 3.2V6 and some BBS RS’s. The shell and bed is also all original on this one and painted in period VW Manilla green. It will KW suspension with a subtle stance and a nice contrast to the red!

And the other, my pure grey of course that is in need of some serious tlc by now … lets see how things go but already painted the green one already, so build starts soonImageImage

And this is roughly what it will look like but not quite as low and with standard archesImageImage

Ive only ever seen one and I passed it on last Wednesday taking a detour it was a VW rabbit pickup it was white and was badly needing attention . It also had the large fibreglass box on the back it was lower than a pensioners nipples . If I go that way again I’ll see if I can grab a pick as I crawl over the speed bumps .

That green one looks sweet Hef look forward to seeing your one once it’s done .

Your red one is just rare especially the mileage and all the paperwork that’s unheard of nowadays. Only paperwork that comes with most Vehicles now is a lease agreement. The just don’t make them like they used to.

The rabbit truck will of course be the lhd American square headlight pick up, not my cup of tea really but they sure have a following that’s for sure!

Yes, I think it is pretty rare this with all its history and will only appreciate in both value and personal enjoyment, thank you mate

@SRAutoSolutions

Cheers buddy, defo a sense of pride bringing them back to life and makes a refreshing change looking at the way engineering has come along 30 to 40 years on … in a good or bad way as I sometimes wonder???
