A Pillar Retrims.

Post by InformedLeek »

Hey all,

Wonder if anyone has managed to / if it’s possible to trim the entire A pillar on a Caddy 4 in one piece rather than the stitched versions?

Cheers!

Hi mate, yes I’ve done mine in one piece as I’m not a fan of having seams everywhere. It wasn’t the easiest of pieces to do but possible with patience (MK3 but just the same).

Personal opinion is it depends on the material your using.

Hmm.

I bought some faux suede off eBay which doesn’t have much give to be honest. Wonder if I should use something else…

Be interested to see how this goes .

I’m thinking of doing mine in faux suede . Did you get the 4 way stretch ?

You need to get the Suede in 4 way stretch flexibilty...
I've used this to do all the pillar trims and headliner with no problems.

Got it. Just ordered some stretch. Mine was the standard and didn’t have much (if any) stretch so going to give the new stuff a whirl.

Does anyone know if the Mk3 and Mk4 A-Pillars are the same or interchangeable?
