At the weekend I put the big ends back together and fitted the sump. Not sure I find silicone a better solution compared to cork.
Anyone got advice on how to fit the 2 x awkward sump bolts that 'angle' into the bellhousing? I tried to install one of them twice but it fell off the hex key and disappeared until I dropped the sump.
Have subsequently started the car an yes there is a minor oil leak from that area...8u99er
I did wonder about finding a bit of hose to stretch over the bolt head to get the thread started but haven't found anything in my spares drawer yet.
Thanks in advance.

What about abit of grease/hylomar/vaseline on the hexbit to hold the bolt on until it starts?

A bit of BluTac sometimes works or I’ve stuck a magnet onto the extension/key
If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is

A piece of paper over the head then push the wrench into the hole can take the slack up and give a firm hold.

Thanks guys. Good advice.
I did have a try with Blu-tac but it didn't work because the bolt wasn't clean. I will have another go.
I may even tie a long bit of thread to it so I don't get paranoid over "losing it" if the thread doesn't take an it drops out.
