Window switch

Post by Bjd198 »

Hi all,

Just after some quick advice. Picked my Caddy yesterday and love it! Few things that need sorting on it first. The driver electric window switch isn’t working.. does anyone know if this is a common fault? Hoping it is just a replacement switch needed rather than the window motor, but thought I would ask before I ripped the door cars off!

Thanks

Welcome to the forum and to caddy ownership.

Because of the position of the window switch, it's not uncommon for water to drip from an open window right into the switch and cause it to stop working.
If the comfort function works from your central locking, that should allow you to prove it is or is not the motor at fault. 99% of the time it is just the switch.
