Van Prices

Post by DeanWhit »

Just having my weekly peruse of ebay and seen some of the prices for modified mk3 caddy's would make your eyes water. I've seen one up for 17k!! Obviously your van is only worth what someone else will pay but if you're thinking of selling for any reason, maybe now is the time.

Yeah I have seen that prices are out of the roof right now. Especially modified ones. I was in the market for a new caddy but may end up waiting for 6 maths before looking again. Hopefully they don't keep I creasing.

I think I bought at the right time, gave £9250 for mine, the company I bought off are now selling similar, if not slightly older and more basic for around £14000. And they seem to be selling them quickly.

Change in circumstances is making me consider selling, but I love the van and don’t want to regret it.

Wow, out of curiosity I’ve just done a search on mine, and if it were stock it’s valued at £7965 which is only £235 less than I paid 3 years ago.

I thought I try my van £6795 on a 63 plate quite impressed as I didn't pay that much more for it 4 years ago but all van's seem to have gone up in price since the lock down due to us not being able to go abroad and vanlife has really stepped up a gear

it is a similar situation here in Australia - When I was looking for a Caddy Maxi 6 months ago, I was finding plenty of base model MK3 Facelift TDi250's for around the $10k mark (£5,500), but now people are asking $13k (£7,000) for ex-tradie condition ones, with over 200,000kms on the clock.

I just picked up a stock 2011 Caddy Maxi Life TDi250 in Toffee Brown, with 179K on the clock for $13,500 (£7,500), which is more than I was really wanting to pay, but I knew it's be along time before I found another one as clean as this at that price.

If it wasn't a vehicle I really wanted, I'd be worrying I was gonna get left holding the bag on this in a few years, hahaha.

I’ve just seen a 400bhp mark 3 on FB for 20 grand and I saw an SDI with very very minimal mods and 120k on the clock for 6500. There’s chancers out there that’s for sure..

The 400bhp MK3 sounds interesting, does it say what’s been done to it to achieve that. Any photos or anything?
