Alternative Steering Wheels

Post by Pea »

Evening all.

I have a 2011 Caddy with standard steering wheel and look at what alternatives are out there that would be a straight swap.

I don’t have any buttons etc on the wheel - what other VW Wheels will fit without any issues? Happy to reuse existing airbag.

Part numbers would be greatly appreciated so I know for certain they will fit !

Pretty much any VAG wheel will fit mechanically, if you just need it to fit. However, if you want to reuse the airbag, then you need the exact same shape wheel.
Don't be afraid to use a search button, this was asked n+1 times and you should find a lot of inspiration and answers ;)

I managed to find a wheel and bag from an 18 caddy. Straight swap and no coding req’d.

I have a flat bottom R line wheel from a Scirocco with all the multifunction buttons. Non of them work but I got the van like that. The main function works though which I kinda handy.

2011 vans the Scirocco (later model) Golf GTI or GTD wheels all fit and are a direct replacement.

If you buy one with steering wheel controls and you don't have them, there is a aluminium trim kit you can get from tps to delete the buttons 😉
