Light fault after adding dynamic repeaters

Post by Exuptoy »

Just fitted smoked repeaters and I now have to switch on my hazards for 4 flashes everytime I turn on the ignition just to clear the light error.
Anyone have an idea what options I need to check in VCDS? I actually have an Autel scanner which seems to have similar adaption menus. Haven’t a clue what pin to use to access them.

I fitted some of those dynamic repeaters on mine but returned them after I saw them bring up the fault but I think some 501 led error cancelling resistor harnesses should sort it out? Maybe someone else can confirm. I didn't end up trying it out because I was also sent the smoked ones when I wanted clear

They usually come with resistors, I didn't think they fitted well so I never used them

Cheers for the solution guys but there must be a way to code it out?

I think you need vag com pro to code out light errors. I just live with it showing an error for now 😂

Mine from van style came with the capacitors/resistors and didn't bring an error code up.
I thought you could sort led light codes out with vcds but i must be getting mixed up, there's plenty of other posts on the subject if you get stuck.

When i fitted them to mine had to code it out with vag can pro, other alternative could be a resisor?
