Best oil for 1.6 TDi Caddy Maxi

Hi, I have 2013 Caddy Maxy C20 1.6TDi with 125,000 miles on it. I want to get the best quality oil for it as am doing 300 miles per week in it. What are the best recommendations please ?

Always go with manufacturers spec imo. Castrol Edge 5w30 for your caddy. Have oil flush & new filter aswell. Hope this helps.

How do you flush an engine. As I need to do this soon.

@kilometer . There are lots of brands to choose from who make engine flushing products but basically it's a liquid you add to a warm engine directly before an oil drain. You run the engine at idle for 10-15 mins & it removes (or claims to) deposits inside. When you remove sump plug it just runs away with the old oil.

I use Shell HX8 ECT 5W30 for all vw CR engines witouth problem.
