Can any one tell my what it is? I assume its the particulate filter? Also can you just blank off the egr valve or do u have to turn it off with vagcom?

Yes its in the exhaust

I needs removing with a delete pipe like mine below:

Or you can remove it like mel57car did here:

Does it give you any advantage? I did it on my 306 hdi and i blanked off the egr it made a huge differance!
Will it pass its mot with it all blanked off?

Did your 306HDI pass MOT as you mention you had it all blanked?

Current MOT's on diesels is only a smoke test...My T5 has sailed through 2 with DPF & EGR Delete

Do you know anywhere I can get an egr delete kit from for my 1.9 tdi ? And how hard are they to fit ?

Yes mate it passes no problem but i wasent sure what affect it had on a pd does it give you a performance benefit iam going to have it re maped soon

My T5 also has passed the mot a few times with the egr blanked off
