Tried this on another caddy also, which was the exact same.. but
Cranking over when cold takes just one or two... but cranking up once hot takes a little longer?
Is there a reason for this or is it standard issue?
Cranking... is it a caddy trait...

Cranking... is it a caddy trait...
It's a trait of most of this era of VW TDIs, the starter and battery begin to weaken slightly and cannot make the revs required to start injecting fuel when hot. It's a problem that most good remap guys can sort rather than going down the road of changing parts that still work.

Re: Cranking... is it a caddy trait...
Ah right... it is an odd one as it still sounds like it cranks at the same speed, but as you so... must draw a little more when hot. Will get revo to do it in a couple of week when they map out the egr light too.
Thanks
