Hi @Rcg5

This wing mirrors whistling has been driving me a bit mad... Im a new caddy owner, and just wondering how you managed to stop them whistling?

My Caddy is a 2018, and it looks like the whistling is coming from the gap between where the wing mirror swivels from..

Cant quite believe this got through product development!!

Any help would be great! : ]

Today’s work, lined the rear load area with 36 sq ft (3.4m2) of Noico Alubutyl rubber backed foil. Then my mates lift became free so I whipped off the middle exhaust section to replace it first thing tomorrow.

Fitted a new centre exhaust section,

Fitted my new (to me) sliding door seal,

Freed off my spare wheel carrier bolts, straightened the bracket and put fresh copper slip on the bolts before refitting,

Covered the underside of the van in grey Gravitex stonechip.

love it Ripley, why not mate. Try and add a smile to what is an absolute Ballache scenario.
I've just ordered a couple of reconditioned ones I know I'm taking a massive chance with this but don't mind experimenting to see how these ones fair.
I checked the codes on all 4 injectors and injector on cylinder 3's coding on the ecu does not match that of the one fitted. Can only assume at some point the previous injector failed and new one fitted minus not being coded to ecu. All other 3 codes check out. Van was running flawlessly until Monday afternoon when the injector on cylinder one died on me.
So my question is 'how critical is having the correct code for each injector programmed to the ecu?
Will most definitely keep a few spare now in the van along with a tool kit to replace again should this happen.
4/700£ each new is taking the micky.
Out of interest I can get 5 injectors for my 2015 rs3 for around £300. Go figure

Thank you @Katiecaddy, It’s not perfect but by the time the inset panels go on it’ll look more finished. Thinking of doing them in a contrasting colour as I have some black carpet here.

@exuptoy what sort of insulation have you used and has it made a massive difference in keeping it cooler in summer and warmer in the colder months?

@katiecaddy, Ive only owned the van for a month and only removed the ply to make a start on it three days ago, so cannot give an proper informed answer, however if feels warmer, when the cabin heaters are on you need to turn them down as it gets too warm, it’s also a lot quieter and transmits less road noise.

Deffo worth the £140 or so it has cost to sound deaden/insulate/carpet it. It also looks so much more high end and more finished than ply.

To me that’s a win/win.

Costs have been:

36 sq ft of Noico Alubutyl from Amazon (£49….I’ve ordered another 10sq ft pack at £17 to do the cabin floor and doors)

6m of PET recycled insulation (£17 from B&Q)

10 sq m of 4 way stretch carpet from VLT on eBay for £40

5 cans of spray contact adhesive.
