I cut out my original tweeters from the the tweeter holder and replace it with the new tweeter. The mids in the door cards needed a base plate making out of some ply.( you could buy one as a set) and put on some connectors to replace the hard wired connection to the original speakers.
Running of an alpine cda 117ri headunit. Which I managed to get for a fiver. Bargain

All in all not a bad job to do.

I would reccomend them. They cost me £89 and are the entry level model components from jl audio.

You could get some more expensive ones with a active crossover if you wanted. Just depends on how much you want to spend.

Pic of how the tweeter sits.

Went to remove the lower door catch on the barn door today with a torx key, only to realise it’s a different profile to torx,
I’ve looked on the web and seen two similar looking profiles called ribe and splined.

Does any one know the correct profile for VAG vehicles?
Thanks in advance. :D

Katie they are splines. Used on most Volkswagens now.

Picked the van up after it had been at the body shop for a couple of weeks.

Wiper smoothed.
Alloys refurbed and colour change.
Front and rear bumpers repaired and resprayed.

Hi,
They are called XZN or triple square.
Do not buy a cheap set of sockets as they can be less than useless and cause more problems.
I got a German set on Amazon for about 20 squid - perfect.

@caddychris2002. That’s gorgeous mate! I’m not normally a fan of the debadged look but you’ve nailed it there!
