Thanks for the pics Tom.
Any other pictures would be a great help mate. On my SWB there’s a metal skin in that hole which bevels outwards. I kinda stops you getting the reel in there.
I would of probably thought the rear Touran reels where a similar size to Caddy Life reels. My pal has some Caddy Life ones so he’s going to bring them
Over today so I can compare them.
I’ve seen odd person fit the Touran reels inside on the SWB but they don’t give away how they did it but most fit them on the outside then box the reel
In.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
@Cabbs the factory location for the reels is on the outside whether it's a maxi life or a crew cab van, just different trims to cover them in. The metal your talking about needs cut away on one side of you only have one sliding door or on both I'd imagine if you have 2 sliding doors. I've also read that it's near impossible to use power tools for the operation but maybe a dremmel with the flex tool?

Only one sliding door on mine. I have a dremel with the flex head. Just didn’t want to attack it and find the reel still doesn’t fit haha. Rear seatbelt fitting day is going to be tomorrow so I’ll let you guys know how I get one.

Go for it, it fits and is definitely worth it. My belts are from a touran. I used an air saw, a belt sander and a hammer and chisel. Will take photos when I get home. I'm out on the bikeCabbs wrote:Pman1984

tom.preece87 No worries pal. Thanks for that.
Quick question……….. Are the belts always locked up when not fitted? . Mine worked fine when in the car but don’t come out now.

The belts need to be upright to unlock. Hold it as if it's in the van and it will work. Need any more photos or advice then just ask

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Nothing too taxing today, fitted a new set of rubber car mats with some attractive blue piping that is almost the same colour as the outside of the van, really need to get myself in gear and look at starting an upgrade plan list as there are some great ideas in the forum!

You do relise you could get head light restoration kit for £12 which makes them look new. Just like the one you bought

Yeah but it takes time to prep and do the work. The headlight cost me £40 and took 10 mins to swap over, better value to me.geo.stronach wrote:You do relise you could get head light restoration kit for £12 which makes them look new. Just like the one you bought

Sat in it waiting for the screen to clear wishing I'd bought one of those PTC heater things that were for sale a few weeks ago

@Exuptoy If you use the touran center console does it get rid of the carpet gap in the middle?
