@robblewen yes kept the original airbag unit and choose steering wheel that fits to keep the cost down. Looking at yours it is the same unit.
The new one was advertised as VW Tiguan model R - 5N0-1K8-419-091AC but I think there are similar models for Scirrocco without the R emblem.
The old steering wheel is 5K0-419-091-J E74
and of course steering control needed changing too. Got 5K0-953-549-C in mine which is Midline and buttons require Highline module 5K0-953-549-B.

Cheers

@sewi awesome. Cheers for the info dude. I changed my swcm to highline when I got cruise and trip added, ready for future mfsw. Hopefully just a new wheel will be needed, I'll have a look.

New discs and calipers fitted today. No more vibrations at high speed or under braking. Also.... Ive raised the back end (1 hole). I know its not as aesthetically pleasing but with the roads around here it was destroying my arches and the paint has started to bubble and needs repairing AGAIN. On the plus side, I've just done a 40 mile round trip in it and it was an absolute pleasure to drive. Haven't said that about it in months. ImageImage

Really love the look of this van. The wheels look spot on with the colour scheme. Suits it nicely.
Are these the ispiri alloys, reason I ask as a chap on the rs3 forum had these style alloys on his sepang blue rs3 and it looked superb. The silver works well with the blue and red calipers.

Spent (equivalent of) £650 to replace a £50 exhaust gasket. Apparently they had to remove the turbo and quite a few other bits to get at it. So, now I have a full set of all of those gaskets. Fun times

Finished off carpeting the last bits of bare metal in the back. Decoding wether to fully carpet the roof or stick in some panels with lighting, would quick like the extra headroom though.ImageImage

@caddychris2002. Totally gutted for you mate that’s one sweet van you have as well . Is the F@#kwhit still breathing? How some people get driving licenses these days.

I had someone clip my rear arch and corner of the rear bumper still to phone the PDR guy to take out the flat spot on arch .I was raging though never seen the culprit .

Hopefully you get it sorted.
We had some old lady reverse into ours the other year. Luckily just a scuff. Then she told us her reverse sensors don’t work and that she’d done the same thing the month before.
Think it would of been way cheaper to get her sensors fixed.
Luckily it wasn’t a person as she said she’d never looked in mirror!
