Re: What did you do to your van today?
Looking clean @Giddy.
I’ve done mine today. Decontaminated the paint, washed, polished and sealed it. I’m happy with how it looks.
I never managed to get the ghosting from the bonnet though, I’ve been advised by the guy who painted my bumpers that it’s too far gone and the bonnet needs a respray.

Had to change the A/C condenser today, old one has seen 200k+ miles and as such was a bit soft and insect/debris battered, A/C wasn’t getting cold enough either so I imagine it was having a negative affect on the intercooler and radiator! Few hours so not to bad of a job!

Re: What did you do to your van today?
I picked up a set of Q7 front seats a few month back originally with the intention if fitting them to my T4.
Yesterday I threw them in the caddy and everything seems to line up on original bases.y only question is does anyone have experience running electrics to these seats? They are currently in a not so comfortable position so need to run electric to the motors to install permanently.
Cheers

@davinci, Stan the man or Tommyzooom can make you some looms up mate. I’m not sure where you will pick up the power supply for them though. Someone who has done the mod will know.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
@davinci, I fitted q5 seats, got the power direct from the fuse box, adding a new fuse.
As Swan says, a new loom can be made from the 2 guys mentioned, for electrics, heated pads and air bags.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
@papa near. I thought you may have gone directly from the fuse box, but I wasn’t 100% sure so I didn’t want to say.
Does each seat have its own fuse?

Re: What did you do to your van today?
To be honest it seems like years ago I did it and I can’t remember. I remember fitting 2 thermal fuses, think it was one normal fuse in the fuse box though.
We cleaned the whole of the inside today, after transporting 175 used paving stones (not all in one trip) it looked a bit like a beach in the back.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Been trying to find the wiring diagram I drew up for the seats with no luck.
Been slacking on the garden redo due to back issues. Now back on it, should have the garden cleared ready for rotavating in a couple of weeks. Kitchen coming along nicely, just finished the tiling.

@ Gwiz have you got a link for those door catch covers and the steering wheel inserts?
Really like the look of those catch covers, really smarten the look up.

Never stops eh?
Yeah I’ve been thinking about new seats at some point. I’m not mad keen on the ones I have.
