You normally change every 2year but for the sake of £12-£18 i just do it every year keeps the smells out and fresh

Cheers
Mines a May of MY2018, just a tickle over 20k miles, and had full VW service at 18k miles and I'm guessing they didn't change out mine, will need to check that out after seeing the pics :)

Removed the rear inside trims on one side ready to paint.
Bit windy to paint today though.
Rest of the paint arrived so got enough for all the rest.
Hopefully get painting tomorrow and fit the last of the rivnuts

Thought I’d work some headlights I’ve been planning to build for a while.

Off the side light and indicator is a switch back led strip and a smaller halo for the side light.

I’ve fitted Bluetooth operated colour changing halos that run off an app and I’ll be fitting them to run directly off the battery. Bit of show use more than anything for the Bluetooth halos! It’s 2 builds in 1 ImageImage

No errors on the dash either Image

@mikenorman loving them mate, where do you get switchbacks from, I'm not too impressed with my eBay ones during the day, not as bright as I'd like!

gazza31112 theyre the eBay specials! Yeh know what you mean about them being a bit dimmer. I did think to see if I could get some sort of brightness adjuster as the halo is a bit brighter but that’ll be for another build

I’ve got a mad one I’m doing next! Really looking forward to building some different stuff.

@mikenorman I'm thinking of what to do on mine next lol, the LEDs I used for my VW badge in the sidelight (not sure if you seen them) are the wrong colour (think they are warm white) other than bright white so they are annoying me, and don't match the strip lights, thinking of a way to make it into an indicator instead.
I'm thinking of ditching the switchbacks because I'm getting some disapproving looks from other drivers that I assume can't see them!
Can you set the halos on a specific colour or is the default always white?

gazza31112 it’s default white on the app loading fresh but if you keep the app open it remembers your last setting. You toggle them on and off through the app!

gazza31112 and if I find the indicator is pretty dim from a distance, I’ve left the original indicator bulb there as an option to run along side it
