Finally finally finally got my grill and bumper grills painted gloss black, after a week of driving about with no front grill, talk about trial and error!!!!

Started with a £65 chrome and gloss black grill off ebay, tried spraying it, completely ruined it,
Resorted back to standard grill, over a week of evenings of priming, wet and dry sanding, marking it, starting again, marking it again, starting again, fly's flying into it, sanding them out, starting again, and about 5 trips to Halfords later.

But I'm so amazed the finish you can get from spraying outside in under 10 degrees, rain dodging, with Halfords plastic primer and gloss black rattle cans, eBay 2k two part lacquer rattle cans, then about 2 hours and a tube of T-cut and a cloth buffing and buffing and buffing tonight, Mrs going mad at me cause I'm not listening to her hair conversationImageImage

All back on now, proper happy, a job Iv been wanting to do since I got the van!
..........but never again!!!!!
Too dark now just got bumper back on, get some pics uploaded tomoz of the vanette.
Also got a Pioneer underseat sub in over the weekend, after 3 days of playing about, actually sounds good now
She's getting there now, slowly ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Nice!
Think I have the same one as your old one, is the picture better?

It’s about the same quality mate. Due to the angle of the camera, you can’t see as far behind you as the old one, but still enough to see what’s what.
It was £7 on eBay mate

Just got it back from auto electrics that sorted out the battery drain... turns out the previous owners fitted airhorns very poorly

Cracking job on that grille gazza! The hard work def pays off, I want to do the same to mine but also thinking about wrapping it along with the grey front bumper inserts...
