done mine that way, plenty of filler primer and prep work for a smooth finish; pics to follow soon

I think it depends on the color :)
because i found the red one ugly ....

yeah true we did a silver one at work and it looked total gash!! (rubbish)

I've been humming and harring about getting mine done (silver) and I'm still not sure. I'd rather go for a new bumper (GTI style) and paint that. I did think that the silver might look rubbish.

I think if it was black like the above caddy with the GTI look front, it looks nice.

I have been thinking about doing mine but not sure it would look right in white. And the grey look is growing on me.

Can someone tell me if the red trim is painted on, or is it a stick on plastic/rubber one

I would personally leave all the grill part unpainted... looks more defined.
