Great stuff. Thanks for those pics, that will help me loads as I’m trying to do the same thing. I was looking at the packs from deadening.co.uk that are 144 quid. Wasn’t sure if they were better/worse/or the same as what you have done. I was worried about loft insulation due to the moisture and the loose fibres but I didn’t know that they did it recycled.

Hey, did you go through the hole to the right of the cable in pic 1? How/where did you locate the wire on the inside of the van?

There’s a rubber grommet in the firewall you’ll be able to access easily if you take out the battery as it’s just down behind the battery tray. Feed the cable through there and it will appear in your passenger footwell. You may need to put a slice in the grommet to feed the cable through, I can’t rightly remember

love the rockmounts! Very nice build - as much as I like the rockmounts and generally feel like pulling the front wheel being quite a logical way to transport in vehicle - I like the idea of sometimes being able to just "toss in" my bike with a strap or two thought out and driving. I hope I can sort out a solution for this in a maxi with the 2nd row of seats in it - but anyway that is my plan at least - but yeah great thread, thanks for keeping it updated, lots to learn!

A question for those of you using your Caddy for sleeping in... is a roof vent necessary/worth putting in? Used mine for camping for the first time and found it a bit stuffy even with the front windows cracked (as much as was safe seeing it was a public area). Does a roof vent eliminate the need to have the windows cracked or do you still need to? Also, is there such a thing as a nice looking roof vent as I don't want to ruin the look of the van?!

@shameus, there are rear door stand offs you can get to allow fresh air, door still locks. Or window vents that keep it secure.
