I was looking at those alright.. nifty little product but my van is a barndoor model unfortunately. The window grills are a nice idea but make it very obvious that someones sleeping inside, which I'm not keen on

I used the barn door one like @Papa Bear linked to tell I somehow lost the thing ..
worked well with the windows cracked down level with the heko wind deflectors allowed the air to circulate better. Would definitely get another one.

Nice one boys might try one of those first cause there's no going back on a big hole in your roof! Would be interested to hear what OP thinks of his roof vent all the same

I like to crack the front window so they are inline with the wind deflector and turn the roof fan on when I leave my van somewhere hot, don’t fancy leaving the back door partially open

Word of warning....I done a motorhome conversion for a pal and he'd bought that recycled insultion shown (B&Q?) I tested a piece of it in water and it soaked it up. Against my advice he insisted on just using it anyway but suspect it will do the same to any moisture between panels and will all end in tears.

no shit Sherlock, you immersed something in water and it got wet?
and of course moisture will get in to the insulation if you don't install a vapour barrier

There's always one SA who's PM and has far too much to say even when others are only trying to be helpful for those who are novices. For those of you who aren't going the full hog and putting in sealed vapour barriers...alI I was trying to highlight is that type of insulation will just soak up ANY moisture and RETAIN it....dont use it and simply get the correct stuff from the outset. Wind your neck in and stop putting off others who are eager to help....if youve nothing nice to say don't say anthing at all.

Would you say the sound deadening makes a big enough difference? Carpeting the back of mine out soon as was wondering weather or not to bother

Loving this build! I've recently bought a caddy already converted. Looking to do the Nc500 soon needs a few little details sorting and fixing but your build has gave me some motivation ha ImageImage
