All being well I pick this up Thursday!

Its a 1.4 TSI and will become my MTB carting/camping/dog shuttling/Family wagon.

Dont think I'll be doing too much in the way of Mods, maybe a little drop and remap, maybe some different seats, who knows?

Looking forward to it :)

I only joined here to find out how to change DRL settings!
My list gets longer every day and only be able to make the original change tomorrow when VCDS arrives :D

same here, bought an old builders van with absolutely no intention of modding...

Looking forward to seeing the changes as they develop

I have it!

Pleased to say its pretty sweet too.

Got 45mpg on the 150 mile run back up to Northumberland with the cruise set to 75. Coming from a 3.5t converted van and a V8 X5, its practically free miles!

Comfy, quiet and a generally nice place to sit.

I have some plans for it with a micro camper flavour. Going to start pulling the back end to bits :)

Yeah, pretty much just pull the trims out.

Want to see how much space I have to work with, whether I can modify/butcher the exsiting trims to do what want or build in some new things.

Would like to store a battery, water tank, MTB stuff, possibly a single pull out bed thing, I'm itching to get going.

Big thing is thinking long term and resale. I plan on keeping it at least 5 years, but what id like to do to it would make it very specific to my needs at the minute so im going to try and retain as much of the orignal as possible so it can be reverted to a 7 seat van.

Maybe...

Nah, need to keep space for the bikes.

Ive been to races where bikes have been bolt cropped of racks overnight - absolutley need to keep ours in the van if we are overnighting somewhere.

Hi
Just wondered if there was enough boot space for the mtb with the rear seats in?
Been thinking of a caddy myself but need the rear seats for kids etc. And enough boot space for the bikes. Ta

Welcome to the forum mate. Nice van you’ve got there
I’m another member who wasn’t going to do any mods besides an armrest......5 grand later and my van is still nowhere near how I want it and maybe never will be.
I’m pretty sure most of us said the same initially, but this forum, the sense of community and the inspiration is very addictive I found!
