I got an Astravan with 2ltr 16v turbo motor in that's quite capable of 400bhp + if I get round to fitting other parts and ordering more.[/quote]

Ah common mis conception about them being called red top turbos and ecotec turbos. All because ealy LET motors came with a red plug and the later motors came with a black cover but they are the same engine. Ok cambelts are different between the years but not much else.

I will start another thread or iirc I did upload one when I first came on here.

All the C20LET motors came with L shape plug covers but it was colours changed and people associated it with being a red top and an ecotec.

Yeah it's a Mk4 Astravan. I have put a thread up about it.

I thought all early red tops had the coss cast head. And late black tops were ecoterrorism. I've had both in my day.

True but some of the early late ones had coscast heads, they were apparently unbreakable but I managed it

Gm put there own head on which has a tendency to go porous after a while.

Right so after getting a spare bumper off Giles (Turbocat) I dropped it in to my body shop people and had it fitted yesterday. And well I'm pleased and think it looks spot on now...

Right so means the winter is here I decided to get some mudflaps so ordered a set of amazon for a grand total of £14 delivered, ok there meant for a Touran but thought I would give them a go.

So after been given a months waiting due to delivery they turned up yesterday, 20 days before they should of done so thought I would fit them.

Ok the rears don't fit but hey oh good job the brother has a touran..... But the fronts fit perfectly....

Pictures are here with what I scraped out from behind the wheel arch liner.....

I had plants growing behind the wheel arch liners on my Golf so that's not too bad!
