Love your caddy. This thread is very inspiring.
I'm up in Queensland and having troubles finding someone to lower my 2008 Maxi.
Have you got any advice. What have you exactly done to your caddy. Would you do it a different way a 2nd time.

Cheers
Daz
I'll PM you some thoughts when I'm next near my PC.

This is similar to what has been used in my van. I think this may have already been recommended to you on Facebook. (Megavan Mats in the UK)

Or

https://m.facebook.com/groups/139891206 ... 2009872308

Feel free to make your own thread about what other people have used.

This will not only keep it this out of my thread (there is no "clean all tоpic" function) but will help you get your post count up. ImageImage

As I'm in Australia is pointless me posting my local suppliers details.

Goodluck.

Picked these up for $100.00 today. A bit of rash to sort but all in all I'm pretty happy with them.

Great thread. But my word you've had some bad luck!

Really like the low cost ideas you had at the start, which just snowballed and snowballed, haha! It's clearly addictive.

Hope you don't mind if I borrow a few ideas.

Picked up the van today from the mechanic. As I'm currently between houses and all my tools are in storage I decided to have him remove my EGR cooler for me. I was under the impression it was leaking exhaust gasses from the exhaust manifold end. Turns out it was a leak from the EGR valve end.

Either way the whole cooler has now been removed, blanking plates and cooler bypass hose fitted.

Wow what a difference. I had gotten so use to not having proper boost I didn't realise how bad it had become to drive.

Happy days.

This was also the first time I had used this particular mechanic. My regular guy, who told me the leak was at the manifold wanted to charge me $1350.00 for a new cooler + $130/hr to fit it.

As the EGR was mapped out ages ago I really didn't see the point in replacing the cooler. When I suggested removing it and blanking it off he just palmed me off. He is now my ex mechanic lol.

Very windy day at the beach on Sunday. 40+knots. Great conditions for some very brave kitesurfing. No so good for the van.....ImageImage
