Sorted the wheel arch extension sections for my bumper and fitted them today. They were on my old bumper but needed shortening and reshaping to fit the new one.

Today I painted my splitter in pearlescent black to match the other black bits.

Then I made 2 little brackets to strengthen a weak point on my new bumper.

This is what it was like when I got it. I’ve welded it from the inside but it’s not really possible to do a neat looking weld on the outside.

Bonded it on the inside. It’s not pretty but it’ll tie the top edge into the sides of the bumper and prevent it splitting again.

Cheers Sean. Yeah it pops in the sunlight and under fluorescent lights but looks like normal gloss black most of the time :)

I probably won’t run with this splitter on day to day as it’ll get smashed in no time. Since I put it on with rivnuts I can fit or remove it in under a minute so will just wear it for best

Belter of a build thread. Good to see you have built not bought and done all the things a lot of people miss.
You’re van is flawless, credit to your hard work.

One thing though, need to retrofit proper privacy glass at the back. The films never the same with the dot matrix on the glass.

Cheers mate.

No plans to remove the rear glass as yet. It’s all original factory glass and paint (apart from the painted extras I’ve added myself) and I’ve seen too many screen apertures rust or leak after glass removal so unless I have to replace some glass at any point I’ll keep them original for now. :)
