Re: Brooneye's build
This morning I have been and collected the parts for electric window conversion (hope I have everything), bonnet insulation, engine cover and black touran carpet. Need to go to vw for the bits to fit the engine cover. Hopefully will get them all fitted over the next few weeks

Re: Brooneye's build
Like what you've done so far. How does the head liner come down? Are all the fixings obvious to take the plastic tray down first to get to it? Thanks

Re: Brooneye's build
Pretty easy. You need to unclip the top plastic on the seat belt, remove the belt with the screw, then pop the screw cover at the top of the pillar plastic remove this screw ( both sides) remove handles by exposing screws (both sides), remove the 3 screws on both sun visors and finally take interior light lens off to reveal 4 screws and the tray should drop.

Re: Brooneye's build
Been to vw to pick up the parts for fitting an engine cover and while I was there got a price for a barn door spoiler. Is £150 the right price? Don't want to order one of I'm getting ripped off. Also I'm fancying changing my front bumper from this
To this
As I fancy fog lights and like the look of this bumper. If I did is there anything else I would need from the touran in order to get the fogs to work? From reading I understand they will need coding

Re: Brooneye's build
Apologies in advance but I can't seem to find a how to. Bit of a scratch my head moment as I said I got all the bits to fit my engine cover. I worked out where to put 1 ball joint (bottom left of engine as you look at it) can't seem to work out where the second one goes (on cover bottom right but there does not seem to be anywhere on that side) and also does the rubber collar just sit around the oil cap

Re: Brooneye's build
Had a bit of spare time at lunch so decided to fit my engine cover that I've had for a while and also the sound deadening for under the bonnet
And tomorrow's job will be to fit the roof rails I picked up at the weekend

Re: Brooneye's build
Got finished work early so i decided to strip the grey interior and fit the black touran carpet I picked up last month.
Phase one
Old and new
Fronts
Also ran cables for install for when I get round to it
Back
Also after a bit of help on how to remove the bonnet release handle on the drivers side so I can get the plastic off. Will try to change the handbrake over and put the armrest in when I have a bit more time

Looking good, nice progress.
I'm 99% sure there's a how to on taking off the bonnet release lever.
