Bumpers nearly there. High build primer done. Will wet and dry tonight and maybe get some paint on it too.

Looks ace! What paint/primer are you using?

Used a 2K high build primer. Unfortunately when fitting this bumper to the van the crack I repaired showed again and cracked.

Was warned about cracks and the location of the crack was in a bad place. Unfortunately this bumper is now scrap so on the lookout for another.

I LOVE BARGAINS.

New bumper sourced and bought. No cracks this time round just some scratches that the new paint job will cover.

Picked it up for £15 complete.

Jealous of your bodywork skills! I need to colour code the trims and mirrors on mine and track down a touran front bumper. Are they a straight swap?

Thanks. It's all stuff just picked up along the way and mainly from YouTube.

Yes Touran bumpers are a straight swap. Hold off and get one for a good price rather than something overpriced. I got mine for £15 going to leave it in for paint at the end of the month.

Do you use aerosols for paint and laquer or have you got a proper paint gun?
I'm in no rush as I don't get my licence back until June next year!

Little updates on the van only been working loads recently. Won a little competition on Facebook and got these sweet pedals.

Never win anything too so it's a nice change.

Door was painted out of a van just yes. Don't own a spray gun.

Had a terrible week with this van. And so much expense.

Took it to MOT and it failed on CV Boot, lower suspension ball joint and rotten passenger sill.

So basically the rot is so bad on my passenger sill my mechanic found it really hard to find solid metal to weld too. Eventually after getting it all sorted and primer on. I was driving up the lane home and then crunch.

Van wouldn't move back or forward. Crunching noise when trying to go into gear. Recovered back to garage and turns out I snapped the driveshaft clean in half.

Been an expensive week but thing needs fixed.

Only picture I have from new sill.

I didn’t know these were known for their rot.

I didn’t buy another connect due to the tin worm issues...
