Well peeps, think it's time for me to start my build thread!
My initial love for the caddy first came about a few years ago when I saw a brand new Golf drive towards me, as it got closer I realised 'that's not a Golf!' - indeed it was a nice new Caddy 3 / Facelift. I needed one... At the time I was still happy with my car (a Leon Curpa R which I have now owned for 12 years). I still love this car but thought time for a change and began Caddy (window) shopping. In all honesty pretty shocked on the value of these things!
Over 6 months of searching I missed out on 3 particular Caddy's that I had my mind set on, literally the day before I was able to view, they had gone and each encounter was actually quite gutting (tiny violins!)
At the point of nearly giving up a 2016 Caddy 4 popped up at an absolute bargain, even better locally. Within a couple of hours she was mine!
Day I bought her...

The Caddy is a 2.0 TDI Highline Bluemotion 16 plate with 8800 on the clock when purchased. The vehicle is recorded as Cat D due to flood damaged engine, but not a concern for me as I bought it from an Evo specialist who rebuilt the engine. The work was officially inspected and signed off too so felt safe making the purchase.

After much perusing of the forum as a guest, being a new Caddy owner I thought I'd officially sign up. Got a bit giddy and bought many incorrect parts due to impatience so a word of advice, if you have just joined, it's well worth being patient until you are granted full access. Don't make the mistakes I did... (saying that I'm still making them ha!)
Mod Plans
* Rear Seat Conversion
* Coilovers
* Large alloys
* Colour Code exterior parts (bump strips / number plate surround)
* Caddy life power folding mirrors (with puddle lights)
* Heated leather seat upgrade with touran bases
* touran centre console
* Head unit upgrade / Reverse camera
* touran carpets
* soundproof / insu / carpet rear
* mfsw
* footwell leds - front / rear
Many tried and tested mods here, nothing too out of the ordinary. A big thanks to the forum members who have supplied the help, guides and knowledge

Got in touch with a VW breaker not too far away from me in Bolton, they had a couple of Tourans there so went to check them out. A good few hours there, I came away with black front and rear carpet including storage boxes and frames, centre console and armrest, middle row rear seats, seat belts, front seat bases and promised the mounting brackets for the rear seats at a later date. Grabbed all this for £220 which I'd say is a bargain. Down sides were there was absolutely no glass left in the Touran meaning the carpets were very wet and smelt like Hodor's ass (game of thrones people will get this.. maybe ha!). The wetness and smell was sorted by a couple of goes with the wet vac and a bottle of febreeze - came up as good as new! Other problem was waiting for them to remove the rear seat fixings. Took about 2 weeks of pestering (twice a day on the phone) to be promised it will be ready tomorrow! Finally got the part... actually nearly the whole back end of a Touran - they just cut it from arch to arch - nearly didn't fit in the leon!

In the meantime I bought some Audi S3 Leather Seats. (accidentally deleted all my pics of the front seats from my phone but will upload some others asap). Seem to be a waste not to install the rear Audi seats, so going to workout some sort of frame to accept them on the Touran rear locators - a mod for another day!
Stripped out the plylinig and removed the rear footwell cover and support bar ready for the rear seat install

Thanks Celticrsmith
In all honesty it's been a big waiting game. Every time I needed to do something I needed or had to get something else! I got the Caddy end of May this year, its just been sat there... in bits. Only sorted the insurance out beginning of this month so barely driven it since owning it. Love it mind you

At present waiting on my handbrake, armrest and gear gaiter to be retrimmed in audi nappa leather (with white stitch). Once these are back the centre console can go back in and i think the front interior is pretty much done. I think the 2 final finishing touches would be the caddy life dash trim and the satin chrome door handles. Unfortunately the satin door handles only come with a new door card priced at about £115 + vat each
(may do a vinyl wrap on these instead!). The caddy life dash trim and vents are about £200, not cheap but definitely more feasible and does look amazing...
A few other purchases....
Bonnet Insulation Pad
Engine Cover
Mega Van Mats front mats (superb qulaity by the way and a bargain!)

19" Alloys arrived today (still boxed but will upload some pics tomorrow!). Ordering tyres tomorrow. Awaiting my Gaz rear shocks (due in 2 weeks) and my BC front coilovers any day now. Darkside rear kit is here already. Plan is to fit and test the suspension with the 19"s and then put the original 15"s on until the weather is nicer...
Few other quick mod bits....
Fitted front footwell leds and USB to inner stowage compartment
