Re: Toffee delights
Mate that is absolutely stunning. Everything about it works so well individually and combines for an amazing finished product.
Thoroughly enjoyed following this build and the attention to detail.
Hope you are enjoying the fruits of your labour man

Re: Toffee delights
Thanks mate. Unfortunately I’m not, it’s still going through the insurance under writers for the agreed value; hopefully shouldn’t be too much longer.

Re: Toffee delights
I can recommend talking to a-plan as they managed to get a decent value for mine (although it’s nowhere near what I wanted it’s double what Adrian Flux would agree) plus like for like on the modifications being replaced and 60 days European cover (handy if ever decided to do a few shows over there in the future).

Re: Toffee delights
Cheers Dan, I tried Greenlight, A-plan and also Brentacre; Greenlight couldn’t quote due to value and there wasn’t much between the other two (A-plan £30 cheaper). Neither mentioned EU travel but both offered like for like replacement on mods. I’ve ended up going through Brentacre purely because they appeared more interested/knowledgeable than the individual I spoke to at A-plan. However saying that I’m going to have to chase them up tomorrow as it’s been with them since Monday.

Re: Toffee delights
Insurance sorted today so took it for it’s first tank of V-Power, then a short drive up the road only for the front disc backing plates to start catching.

Re: Toffee delights
Shouldn’t be too bad, I remember them being a pain to get right first time round. I just hope it isn’t the new lower joints thats pushing them against the discs, otherwise I may have to slot the plates slightly.

Re: Toffee delights
Finally got some miles on it!
That's gotta be a great feeling after having so much apart.
Hope the brake backing plate is your only problem.
Legitimately thought you'd posted my photo of the last time I put diesel in mine.

To be honest if that’s the worst problem after all you’ve done it’s a result
Still I bet it was great to drive it

Re: Toffee delights
He's gone to the dark side and gone for an actual OE petrol cap sticker. I'm sure I can sort that when I see the van.

Toffee delights
I won’t lie it’s a tad mental (and I didn’t drive it hard). I did have a huge panic moment when I pulled over and big plumes of smoke bellowed out of the engine bay Note for future exhaust wrap smokes like a trooper first time it’s heated.
Still got a bit of a coding issue also, that means I can either have reverse lights and the van won’t crank/start or no reverse lights and the van starts... . I’ve chosen no reverse lights for now. Very bizarre that start/stop coding can have such an impact.

I’m sure you’ll get to the bottom of the coding

Nice one mate, must’ve been a great feeling to go for a drive under petrol power.
