Toffee delights
4 wheel alignment done today now that it’s have a chance to settle. Absolutely in love with this thing now and it actually drives nicer on the air than it did on the coilovers which I’m surprised about.
The exhaust can’t come fast enough though as it’s a bit embarrassing/awful driving around town at the minute, way too loud for my liking.
P.s. I’ll apologise now for spamming my thread.

Re: Toffee delights
From experience, what you need are a pair of these
and pair of these
then you won't be embarassed about the exhaust........
I'd love to have a go on a trackday to see what its like pushing on, but I said the same thing about air suspension. I think it only would be less comparable if its on something sportier to begin with (i.e BMW M4) but on the Caddy its really impressive when set up well.

Re: Toffee delights
Few more jobs done on the van yesterday.
When I originally fit the ABP struts I questioned that they weren’t sided (I thought they’d sent 2 O/S struts), but Plush told me that they aren’t sided, anyway during fitting I found I was getting preload on the antiroll bar (due to different position of droplinks mount. I didn’t think much about it as I haven’t seen anyone else have an issue; however I found it a struggle to get the ride height on the front perfect (O/S was 5mm or so lower than the N/S). Then after getting a few miles on it I found the van felt unsettled on right turns but great on left, so I decided I’d remove the preload with some Whiteline Adjustable droplinks. Perhaps as I’ve got an updated antiroll bar it exaggerated the issue?
Few more miles on it yesterday and this morning and it’s now sat level and feels totally different, so I a lot happier.
I also done the last jobs to the engine before it goes for tuning next month. Replaced the spark plugs for some Genuine RS7 ones, which are a step cooler (heat range than the original Golf R ones and replaced the coil packs for some APR ones.
Thankfully only a week now until it goes for it’s exhaust and I can stop being a 40 odd year old Chav.
Coil packs fit
Old (ish) plugs, engine has only done 6000 mile so as expected nothing abnormal.
Whiteline adjustable droplinks fit

Toffee delights
I sold my white van a few weeks back (sad times); but this gave me some funds to purchase some new wheels and tyres for the van (good times) and today I had the tyres fit.
I went for some Brand new Genuine 20” Audi A6 wheels (8.5x20 ET43) with Continental Conti Sport 6 in 225/30 20; the tyres do have a stretch on them which I’ll be honest I’m not a fan of, so will have to see how it goes. I had them ceramic coated prior to having the tyres fit and I’ve fit some dynamic (self leveling) wheel centres, looked everywhere for some VW ones in the correct size but eventually gave up; I’ll most likely make some in the future.
I’ll still be keeping the AMG wheels as I think they really suit the van, but they are well overdue a refurb (due to lacquer peel/corrosion on the diamond cut), and unfortunately they will have to go one colour as they have had their last cuts.
Van is getting the exhaust built at the minute so I’ll get them put on once I get it back.

Re: Toffee delights
Looking awesome Lister, can’t wait to see these on your van. IMO I think that’s the perfect amount of stretch I think once on the van the stretch won’t look as extreme.
